Today I wanted to share a little look that I did inspired by Easter! It reminds me a lot of how I used to do my makeup and it felt a bit like a blast from the past wearing it, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wanted to wear pastels and bright colours because nothing screams Easter quite like that. It is autumn in Australia so the colours are a bit off trend at the moment but makeup is makeup and you can wear it whenever, there are no rules. Now that I’ve sufficiently gone on a tangent, let me share my Easter look with you and hopefully give you a little bit of inspiration for your own looks this week!
Thanks to my great feedback from my Lughnasadh MOTD, I thought that I’d keep this series going and try and do a different look for each of the holidays this year! Mabon is the Autumn Equinox and is the second harvest festival of the year! I hope that you enjoy this look, I had a lot of fun wearing it!
With my next 100 Day of Makeup Challenge fast approaching, I’ve been really into using more colour in my every day looks and I wanted to do a challenge that would actually challenge me to get more creative with my looks. This challenge has been called many different things by many different people but the Random Colour Challenge has been recently popularised by Mariah Leonard on YouTube, using one bright palette and pulling shades out of a randomiser and hoping for the best! For this challenge, I decided to use my Morphe 12P palette because it’s pretty much all bright, bold shades and they’re all matte so that won’t be too difficult to use. Because it lacks neutrals, I have allowed myself to use a transition shade and a highlight shade, if necessary. I hope that you enjoy!
Today and tomorrow, people across the Southern Hemisphere are celebrating Lughnasadh (Lammas), which celebrates the first harvest after the full moon! To celebrate, I’ve created a little MOTD and I’m also sharing something extra special at the end of the post! I really hope that you enjoy this excuse to celebrate a seasonal holiday!
Kat Von D Monarch Palette
Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 – yellow shade
ELF Baked Highlight in Moonlight Pearls
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm
Physicians Formula Bronze Booster
NYX Blush in Taupe
Milani Rose Powder Blush in Romantic Rose
I really wanted to use warm shades but specifically yellow because this time of year is all about wheat and Lammas essentially means ‘bread day’. In simpler times, by the time Lammas came around, people were really rationing what they had left of their food and Lughnasadh was a big feast time because it was the first harvest. The holiday represents abundance and the last rays of warm sun. We still have a bit of warm sun to go in Australia but definitely by Mabon, we will be feeling the cool weather! To celebrate the season, I did a bit of shopping and you bet I filmed some of it haha. I haven’t filmed anything in ages and this was really terrible so please excuse me but if you’d like to just hear my voice and see where I live, this will be the perfect video for you hahaha.

Today, I wanted to talk a little bit about this year’s Pantone Color of the Year, Greenery, and share a look that I created inspired by it! I hope that you enjoy this post!
With Christmas less than a week away, many of us are thinking about what we might wear and how we might do our hair and makeup, I know I sure am! So I thought I’d create three very easy looks that are fun and Christmassy to help get those creative juices flowing!!
Today’s look for Halloween Week is the glorious and gorgeous Matchmaker from Disney’s Mulan. I wanted to do a really fun look among the more serious and creepy Halloween looks that I wanted to create this year. I did this look months back so that I’d be able to have all of these Halloween looks up in the last week before handing in my thesis and I’m super glad that I did it early because I’m glad to have been able to bring this look to you! So I hope that you enjoy this look and maybe consider it for this year’s Halloween parties!
