Review: LUSH Holiday Products Pt. 1

Hi guys, gals, and non-binary pals!

Since my LUSH Holiday Wishlist, I have had gifts bestowed upon me for editorial consideration and seeing as I have the opportunity to comment on the products I’d previously wishlisted, I thought I’d be able to give a bit more insight into the LUSH Holiday products. I plan to do this in a few parts as I use and enjoy the products. Today’s post will feature moisturising products! I hope that you enjoy!

LUSH Holiday 2017 Recommendations

Hi guys, gals, and non-binary pals!

Christmas is one of my most favourite holidays, if not my most favourite. I look forward to it each and every year. After my birthday, Christmas has basically started for me haha. Forget about EVERYTHING in between. LUSH always delivers knock out collections for each holiday and this year’s Christmas range is incredibly innovative. I feel like LUSH is redefining gifts this year and it’s very exciting. Today, I wanted to explore the products that have been brought out for this period for which I would recommend keeping your eyes peeled!

October Wishlist

Hi guys, gals and non-binary pals!

Today, I’m sharing a few things that I’ve had my eye on recently! My birthday is coming up next month and by the time it does come around, I always feel like I don’t want anything and when people ask me what I might be lusting after, my mind draws a complete blank so these posts are helpful for me to remember things that I might like to buy myself or for me to remember when gift giving season comes around haha. This is also a way for you to tell me what you think of the products I’m lusting after as well! I hope that you let me know your thoughts on anything that I mention in this post!

Lush Christmas Goodies!

Hey Guys!

I know I’ve spoken with you about how much I love LUSH’s Christmas releases but I thought I’d share with you again because LUSH were kind enough to send me a little box of goodies, which came perfectly timed now that my intensive course is over and I actually have the time to relax and use these! I’m also going to be making a gift guide in the very near future and I’ll probably feature some of these items in there!

I was so excited when I got my package from LUSH. As I’ve mentioned before, I die over the LUSH Christmas stuff and so I died again when I received this package. I have used two of these items before, Snow Fairy (a favourite) and Star Dust, I’m so happy to have back-ups of these because I go through them like I have an endless supply of both money and LUSH goodies (I don’t). So, let’s talk about some of these products.

Snow Fairy is my most favourite body wash from LUSH. I purchase a bottle every year and pray that it lasts until the next Christmas release! It is a candyfloss flavoured shower gel that has little shimmers in it. I haven’t noticed the shimmers on my skin so if you’re worried about that happening, fear not! It is very sweet smelling and can cause candyfloss headaches so maybe use in moderation if you know you could go into a candy induced coma very easily haha.

A product that I’ve never used before is First Snow. It is a sparkling dusting powder and gosh is it sparkly. It is described as a ‘twinkling powder that leaves your skin looking as if it’s been kissed by frosty snowflakes’ and I think that is such a romantic description. When I tried it out, I was so happy with it. I love sparkles (duh) so this product just seemed like it was made for me! I remember one time that I went into LUSH and one of the girls was starting to show it to me and she goes ‘wait what am I saying, I know you know what it is!’ Do I go into LUSH too often? Probably. I know that I’ll be putting some of this on me tomorrow for my Disneybounding Birthday party! I can’t wait to share that with you guys on Monday!

Star Dust is such a gorgeous little bath bomb. It is shimmery, like a star, and the smell is so relaxing. The scents in this bath bomb are ‘Fair Trade Ugandan Vanilla and Peruvian Rosewood’ DIVINE. This makes the bath feel very luxurious, a perfect way to wind down and relax after long hard days of work/study/being awesome. You definitely deserve the star treatment 😉

And finally, Bar Humbug bubble bar! I haven’t used this one before either, and I actually STILL haven’t used a bubble bar from LUSH despite having bought Holly Go Lightly on my last spend. I just haven’t found the time since I bought it, I guess! I was very excited to receive this product because I LOVE Licorice and this bar smells of aniseed, like a humbug. At the start of the tale, Scrooge and I would have absolutely nothing in common. However, by the end, I think that I would say we are Christmas-loving, kindred spirits, so I’ll indulge in this bubble bar and think of Scrooge, Tiny Tim and sing “It Feels Like Christmas” from the Muppet’s adaption of the classic story. ILY Scrooge ❤ (kinda)

A huge thank you to LUSH for sending me this gorgeous box of goodies! I couldn’t be more grateful. I hope that everyone is having a really great day and if you’re feeling like you need a little pick me up, LUSH’s Christmas range has got you sorted!

Review: Oh Deer Sugar Bath Bomb Crumble

Hey guys!

Welcome to the last weekly Oh Deer Sugar review! I’m sure I’ll review more of their products in the future but this is the last of what I purchased from my initial visit. Since then, they’ve made so many products that I’ve been drooling over so don’t worry, you’ll be hearing about them soon! Today’s review is on the Bath Bomb Crumble and I’m excited to talk about it. Also, apologies for the lighting in all of these photos, my bathroom has an awful yellow light, which makes for poor quality photos but hopefully you’ll still get an idea from the pictures that I was able to take.

The Bath Bomb Crumble scent that I purchased was the Blueberry Cheesecake Slice scent and it smells just as the name suggests.

Like everything at Oh Deer Sugar, this is another cruelty-free vegan product. The instructions say just to drop the product into the water but once again, I found myself not knowing how much to put into my bath. I put half the jar in and I think that that’s plenty. You get a nice smelling bath with pretty blue water. The only improvement I’d make on this is that I wish that it had little micro sparkles in it. But I know that that’s not to everyone’s taste. I like my sweet smelling, galaxy baths haha.

11920495_10153376300472530_1378072660_n

The colours in the jar are so gorgeous. I love the look of the product both in the jar and in my bath. It is a really nice decoration right up until you use it.

Overall, I would recommend this product. They sell both solid bath bombs and jar bath bombs, so you’ll be able to pick whichever kind you’d prefer. I believe that every jar scent has a solid bath bomb sister scent as well but I may be wrong. I will probably try out another one of these soon but in the solid form and I know I’m just going to have the best bath time haha.

Review: Oh Deer Sugar Macaron Bubble Bars

Hey guys!

Today I’m coming at you with my weekly Oh Deer Sugar product review. Today’s product is the Macaron Bubble Bars and the one that I tried was the Passionfruit flavour! I have never used a solid bubble bath product before so I was very excited to try it out and talk about it.

Here is the packaging of the Macarons. They look just like how real macarons would be packaged. When you buy the macarons online, you have to purchase three at a time, you can’t purchase them individually and I think that this is the same within the store.

11874050_10153343607747530_622056199_n

The flavours that I bought were Watermelon, Chai and Passionfruit. I was mainly drawn to this package because I wanted the Chai flavoured macaron and I would have trialed that one first but I wanted to save the best for last haha.

11912867_10153343607762530_22702426_n

Here are the ingredients and how to use the bubble bars. The only thing is, I didn’t know how much of the bubble bar to use. On the day I did this, I couldn’t decide which product I wanted to use because I didn’t know how much of it to put into my bath but I just used the whole thing. If I should have used half, please let me know! Although, using a whole one worked fine for me and there were lots and lots of bubbles 🙂

11920487_10153343607722530_1474860309_n

Here’s the macaron on its own. I even took a little video on snapchat of me holding it under the water and you can really see just how much it bubbles!

11911440_10153343607792530_212590463_n

There were so many bubbles after the macaron had completely dissolved into the water! I think that it worked really well! Here’s a classic hotdogs or legs shot for you~

11897157_10153343607787530_1937581878_n

From memory, the price of the macaron package was very reasonable for how many you get and clearly the product works really well. The scent and the bubbles lasted a long time too.

11874136_10153343607797530_1193903889_n

I would definitely recommend this product from Oh Deer Sugar. I think that it would be the perfect little gift for a friend or even a little gift to yourself for being so awesome. I also love that the macaron packages come with different variations of the macarons so you don’t have to have a flavour that you might not enjoy, although I doubt you’d hate any of the flavours available!

Review: Oh Deer Sugar Watermelon and Lime Soap!

Hey guys!

As the title suggests, I will be talking about the Oh Deer Sugar soap that I picked up last Friday when I visited the store! I hope that these reviews might help you decide what you might spend your money on in store because I know it is pretty overwhelming in there because they just have so many pretty goodies!

pink-divider-no-background-md

I picked this soap up originally because I thought that it had the best smell out of all of the other soaps. To me, it smells like bubblegum, like hubba bubba, which brings me right back to my childhood. This product comes in two sizes, one individual block and one family size block that they recommend that you break down into smaller blocks to use.

FullSizeRender

The packaging looks just like a little chocolate bar. I was half expecting to find a little Golden Ticket inside. The bar is a mixture of Princess Aurora’s Pink and Blue princess dress. You all remember this, right?

0d55124edde8483eab729335d0ab6fa4

You can also see little black beads in it that exfoliate your skin! It is a pretty neat little soap on first impression.

FullSizeRender (1)

When I actually used it, I notices that it did lather up a bit on my skin and I noticed the little exfoliating beads working their magic but I also noticed that the bar was disappearing a lot faster than normal soaps. I remember saying to my friends that I think that this will probably last me a week and now that I’ve used it twice, I think it might be under a week because I only have half of it left and I use a normal amount of soap for my average sized body.

That’s probably the biggest negative that I have with this soap, I just wish that it lasted. Because of this, I probably don’t rate it too highly, you can get nice smelling soaps from Lush too, that are vegan and cruelty free that are at a similar price and they last AGES. A real plus that this has though is that it doesn’t have any glitter in it or anything like that that Lush like to put into all of their products. I love glitter as much as the next person but I feel like it dries out my skin and I definitely don’t need my soap making my skin worse.

For novelty, I think this would be a cute purchase. Or maybe even as a cute little gift to someone, to treat themselves. But for a soap that you could use regularly that could replace other soaps, I’d recommend picking something else up. It looks so cute and smells amazing but it doesn’t really hold up in the soap game haha.

I hope that you’re all having a great day!
