On the weekend, the 75th Golden Globe Awards were on and as always, the red carpet was filled to the brim with beautiful people and beautiful outfits. I always like to share my favourite looks from the award shows so I thought I’d better share my favourites from this year’s Golden Globes, especially because it was such a special year! Last weekend, I went to visit the new Paolo Sebastian: X Exhibit at the Art Gallery of South Australia and I wanted to share a bit about the collection that I got to see and why I’m excited about this designer in general! My love for anything South Korean is really trickling into every aspect of my life and MAC really isn’t helping me keep it contained and manageable. A few months ago, the Future Forward collection featuring three different singers was teased and we learned that Lee Hi, Dua Lipa and Justine Skye would all be collaborating with MAC to create one item each. I was interested in each item, honestly, but the one that I wanted to support the most was Lee Hi’s because I think she’s adorable and I really love her music. Today I wanted to talk about my recent trip to Sydney for KCON Australia! After going to BTS back in May and knowing that KCON Australia was in the works for the future, I knew I’d be returning to Sydney for another KPOP concert! I brought a big suitcase with me, anticipating many KPOP related purchases but I was, unfortunately, left with a pretty empty suitcase by the end of the trip. I wanted to chat about my thoughts on the first KCON for Australia as well because I enjoyed myself for the most part but there are a few things that I’d have changed.

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a fashion review, and usually it’s because I just can’t fit it into my schedule because the awards seem to all happen at once and I have to be picky about what I really want to talk about. However the Emmys this year had some gorgeous outfits so I thought I might still cover it, albeit a bit later than I’d have liked! I hope that you enjoy! My final post for Easter Week is some outfit inspiration! You all know I love making my little Polyvore outfits because they’re cute and easy. I’m no stylist but I do know what I’d like to wear this Easter so I’ve created two outfits to wear this Easter! I definitely took inspiration from the Northern Hemisphere season because I definitely think it fits with the imagery we see for Spring, so I hope that Southern Hemisphere dwellers don’t feel left out! We just have backwards weather, blame the sun, not me.

I love Easter, despite the fact that in the southern hemisphere, it is meant to be celebrated in the second half of the year, but I digress. I love that everyone has another excuse to spend time with their family and eat food. Being that my name is Pastelsparkles, I also really love that pastels are a big part of this time of year. I feel quite in my element among the mints, lilacs, and pale pinks. I wanted to share a little bit about how I plan to decorate my life for this holiday, and hopefully it’ll serve as a bit of inspiration if you’re feeling like you need a bit of Easter in your every day.
