I’m so glad to be back to my regular posts now that I’ve finally finished uni, I have so many things that I want to talk about and I’m so excited to share things with you guys again at my own pace. One post per day really knocked me out. So, here I am today talking about products that I use either daily or close to that I just can’t be without. I travel a lot and I have to pack makeup a lot so I think I’ve mastered what my makeup necessities are.
The first product that I want to talk about is my beauty sponge. I’ve been using the Chi Chi Beauty Sponge in Yellow for 2 months and I only just got a new one. There are a couple of different versions of the sponge and I don’t know if this one is any better or worse than the other sponges for what I use it for but I do know that it has made my makeup look so much better than any foundation brush ever has.
I mainly use the flat part of the sponge to apply my foundation and then use the tip to apply concealer under my eyes and on the sides of my nose, any hard to reach areas. I haven’t used the Beauty Blender so I am not able to compare those two beauty sponges but this works fine for me and it’s under $5. You can’t go wrong!
This next product is something that I am honestly so sad about because it has been discontinued and if I want to purchase it, I have to pay at least triple the RRP. The product that I’m talking about is NYX Powder Blush in Taupe.
I use this product every day that I leave the house. It is the best contouring product that I have ever used and I, like many others, are so sad that it has been discontinued because it is an absolute necessity for me. Luckily, I bought my blush about a year ago and I have hardly made a dent, so I’m hoping that it will still last a good amount of time, at least long enough for me to find something else to replace it with. I may give in and buy one at triple the price just so that I will have the product for years to come.
This next product will be a no-brainer for those of you who’ve been here a while. I’ve loved this product since the instant I swatched it at the MAC counter in my Myer store. I had been looking for my perfect nude lipstick for the longest time and I found it, with a $36 price tag. And all I can say is, it is totally worth the price.
The last time that I made a post wearing this lipstick was when I did the Kida makeup for Disney Week. If I ever don’t know what to wear with a makeup look, I know I can just throw on Modesty and the whole look will be complete. If I could only pick one lipstick to have for the rest of my life, I would pick this one.
This is a newer purchase but I’ve already used it so much and I absolutely adore it so I thought that I would mention it here. I have been absolutely loving MAC’s Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Vintage Selection. I bought it after I’d finished my French oral exam last week and I’ve used it every day.
This is a gorgeous champagne-pink cream shadow that lasts all day on my oily eye lids without setting it. Its like magic and I’m all about it! Best thing I’ve purchased in a long time.
So I hope that you all enjoyed this little post! What products can’t you live without?
